Art show

I'm sooooooo excited, the two pieces I entered into the student art show made it in.
I've never entered before, thinking I didn't want my images to be rejected, this year I said the hell with it and entered. So, if you want to see my work HANGING IN A GALLERY you can go the the Woodbury Art Gallery, it's in the University Mall by Nordstroms. Fun times!

I cross processed this photo from slide film to negative film.
This was my first time cross processing,it was really fun not
knowing what was going to come out.

This is a triptych I made for my digital imaging class. I really love how it turned out. This grass is down by the lake, one of favorite places. I wanted the image to have movement because this grass moves so easily in the wind it's hardly ever still. Yes, I agree the top of the center panel is to blurry, but I did it in camera so there is no way to change it.

Our class was asked if we could only save one photograph, which one would it be?
I chose this one, not JUST because it's a picture of my children, but because it defines each of their personalities so well. I also love the contrast in the image.

We were also asked which of our picture have influenced our work or images that we really like. So here they are......

These pipes are some of my favorite images right. I love the contrast in the colors. The warm and cool play off each other well. I really like the shapes in both of these.

This picture is also on of my favorite because of the formal qualities, the lines in her stockings and the composition. I also like the texure on her legs and the constrast in the lighting.

This two images I chose because the processes I learned in making these will really help my work. In the multiple image picture I made several attempt before getting it right, I learned a lot.
In the car picture the lighting is super cool. I love the magazine OBJEKT and I always wondered how they made the houses and building look so vibrant and colorful, well now I know.
